Ableton Questions!
Hey all, I am fairly new, been helped out a bit by you guys so far, I have started really working with ableton more and am getting the hang of the basics. I am attempting to record a track from impulse onto an audio file in order to reverse, as seen on an instructional video I found on youtube http://youtu.be/UlvFpZJpZxA My audio tab has no selections available, when I hit record it just records from my speakers and I can't bring up any drop down options from it to make a change...hope this made sense! Help me!!

Re: Ableton Questions!
Download the Manual and learn the DAW before you try resampling or more advanced sound design. You have to learn to crawl, before you can learn to walk.
IN essence you want to send the audio from your impulse track into an audio track. There are Audio To: options on every channel i have a feleing if you would point your impulse tracks audio to an audio track instead of Master you can easily bounce that sound into a wav. Export the wave load it in audacity and reverse it and save it again. Import reversed noise into ableotn (i didnt watch the tutorial you ref. and there maybe other ways to do htis. im just giving you a general idea of how i would do what you asked.... read the manual though for real it will help you make sense of Ableton alot more then random qustions on the interweb).

Re: Ableton Questions!
Hahah yes, I'm sure it would, but, I just downloaded a demo, so I am running blind, and I have 0 experience with anything like this. I'm a musician, been around, seen alot, heard alot...and I FREAKIN LOVE this style of music, so i am just diving in. Haven't been this excited about music in a long time, it's a steep learning curve though to just jump in ya know.

Re: Ableton Questions!
Ah, ok...lol. Yeah, I am working with Ableton right now, trying not to get ahead of myself, I tend to want to get to the cool s@#$ right away. I am playing with some different effects and what not...I guess the next step will be to actually purchase the software. i figure I will stick with Ableton since I am already fairly comfortable with navigating it.
