Firky - I have a spare ball-sac if you ever need one bro.
Stay positive or positively negative.
Either way you`re being positive which I hear helps combat.

If you aren't at least trying to do something different, you should just give up on music/not even start.

Yeah I have always taken that stance on things, I mean everyone does have to start somewhere. But It's just pretty misguided to be wasting time posting these half assed attempts all over the internet when you could be locked in your room with your headphones on writing tunes til your brain hurts.
I mean if you're gonna chuck some up on soundcloud for your mates to listen to or whatever, fine.
But when you're posting thousands of videos on youtube and making countless threads on forums trying to create some sort of internet hype so you can be the next Skrillex.. its just ridiculous! (PS one of the reasons skrillex blew up is because his music is of a certain production standard, regardless of what you might think of the tunes themselves.)

Just saying, if you're serious about it you're not doing yourself any favours. You don't need to be so egotistical about the shit.
I want music to eventually be my career. And I'm willing to put the years into it.

deep breath.

on a more positive note - this guy comes correct:
Soundcloud

edit: sick tune in the sig huty!

:z:

quality control is needed
but how do you possibly check the quality of your track if you know nothing?
I think that`s the issue.

I can't work out if I've got insomnia or my body's working it's way onto some Thatcher-style "SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK" flex. Averaging about 4.5hrs a night at the moment... :x

4.5hrs should be plenty for during the week unless you're doing manual labour. Catch up with a lie in Saturday and jobs a good 'un 8)

That's the thing... I always plan the Saturday lie in and end up being up reading the papers by 8am... my body seems incapable of recognising it's the fucking weekend.

I think I've become an adult or something. :i:

Eh, just roll with it mate. I get maybe 5hrs sleep a night most weeknights, then weekends lie in til maybe 7:30, still get up and do my thing all day, maybe go out etc etc. Every now and again, my body will just turn around and tell me to fuck off, at which point maybe I'll go to bed 7pm on a Friday night and wake up 9am Sataurday, and then I'm good for another fortnight or so before I do it again.

Probably fucking me up long term, but I'm a productive bastard in the meantime

Try getting 4.5-5hrs a night for 5 years and tell me if you still feel great in the mornings. I feel fucking fresh as a daisy right now, but 8 hours ago I could've fallen asleep on the Tube escalator.

Been planning that catch-up night for best part of half a decade. :x
