The fact I’ve been producing for 10 years and only had 1 record out, and that was within my 1st year at age 20.

The look on the face of people in shops when they ask for my ID and then look at my date of birth.

Yes. Yes, I am almost 30. I've had a very hard life, honest!

Remembering when you wanted a new ringtone of your favorite song, You had to program it in.
Remembering when Dial-up was quick as shit.
I remember when channel 5 started.

All of this makes me feel old and i'm only 21!

There's plenty of threads on here from people who have only just seen La Haine, In Bruges, or City of God, and suddenly think it is the coolest film ever and naively ask if anyone else has seen it. Like they've just discovered a rare secret. Sometimes it annoys me and I'll make my usual cynical remark but mostly I think, "bless their little cotton socks."

Since when are 3 relatively arthouse, foreign language films comparable to one of the most famous Hollywood blockbusters of our generation? I mean, great movies, but they're hardly in the "SURELY EVERYONE'S SEEN" pile like Pulp Fiction or Die Hard or whatever!

The older I get, the less patience I have for the stereotypical "usual cynical remark" that older forum posters the world over feel the need to make.*

Watching the clock roll around to 5pm and thinking "I'd better just do another half hour or so really..." makes me feel fucking old. Only proper adults do that shit. I wish I could still work-to-rule and not be seen as a lazy tnuc.

*I'm aware this could qualify as one.

That is my point. They're not Hollywood blockbusters therefore people think they've seen a rare foreign gem (In Bruges maybe set in Bruges but I am sure as shit they don't speak any French :p ).

I first saw La Haine when Barry Norman introduced was still the BBC Film Critic. Now that's made me feel old :o
