Naan Bread - how could you not have heard of shangaan music?
It`s always on channel O, sabc, you name it.
Go to the transkie and all you hear on the radio is shangaan and masakande.

Never been to the Transkei. Barely ever watch TV. Where in ZA do you live? Have never heard it in Cape Town, although that probably has something to do with my middle-class, white upbringing.

I had totally forgotten who I'd met, been trying to work it out until now :h:

Should do that again sometime :w:

speaking of Die Antwoord

have you ever heard of Waddy Jones and the Constructus Corporation?
Or Max Normal for that matter?
Those are The Ninjas previous adventures in sound.
Constructus corporation was pretty cool breaky, electronic, hip hop beats.

There was that awesome LV mix on Blackdownz Blog last year, had some of that African House.
I could upload, if it's not available.

You know, the first 10 times I heard this tune I thought it was so annoying.

Months later....LOVE IT. Fucking love those raw, distorted vocals.

Kwela Tebza

If you battle to stream vimeo, get downloadhelper and DL the videos to listen to later.
