Cheers for the support.

@Riddles...I was having the conversation with a mate about the whole facebook yesterday to be fair, Im not really a big fan of it. Just think it looks S**t when theres like 10 people in a group, which is what it would be now, unless i just spammed the hell out of it, which i dont want to do.

However... If everyone on here think's it would be useful and they can direct a few people who are likely to be interested, then i'll get one up. :)

Let me know.

Cheers.

It's not needed tbh, was just an idea. Dress code BTW?

All that melts away when the lights are down and the bass is up.

sounds sick, big up for putting this on!

not sure about vinyl only though, what Birmingham needs to create a sustainable scene is local producers, and somewhere for them to be playing their tunes, not everyone can afford to cut stuff, especially to give to other people :(

that and the turntables in PST are pretty ropey!

yeah i kind of agree here like its good that your are doing something in brum, but makin it vinyl only alienates alot of people. vinyl is a big part of dubstep yes so definatley make vinyl a prominent part of the night, but limiting to vinyl not so much :/. i buy vinyl yes, but dont mix and dont have decks, just one turntable to listen on. and i make tunes but none are on to vinyl, and i dont plan on paying to get any cut myself, but i am into the imo better dubstep and bass music, rather than most of the other shit that i see being put on in brum. but yeah i definately support vinyl, and it needs to be a big part of it.

I quite like the idea, makes it stand out, does it's part to keep vinyl going, who knows, a few people that have never though about it might be converted to the idea of vinyl who then might convert other people, because aside from all the arguments about sound quality blah blah blah, nothing looks as cool as vinyl does. :W:

Sorry i dont reply to everyone as quick as i should, i can only sneak on the internet at work occasionally.

@ Elkie/Skimpi - I can see where your coming from and appreciate that not everyone can be geting dub's cut in the same way they can burn CD's off their computers, however i think that in a time where it's so easy for people to be making tunes and putting them into circulation, it could do people some good to be saving up to be getting some cut. See it as a form of quality control rather than an elitist approach.

I have no problem with CDJ's however if it was going to be worth me losing money to put on a night, then i wanted it to be representing something that i feel passionate about.

Aside from all of that, theres nothing like knowing/seeing the DJ is mixing on vinyl.

And as for the ropey decks, i will be bringing my own on the 23rd so hopefully there should be no issues in that respect.

Thank's to everybody offering support, it means alot.

Let's just hope people get behind it.
