First up on the bill and fresh from releasing his critically acclaimed debut album, “Simulat”, we bring you Cosmin TRG flying in all the way from Germany direct to Wire exclusively for this 2 hour set. The Romanian born now Berlin based producer first came to the electronic music world's attention through his 2007 debut single “Put You Down/”Broken Hearts” - the track which launched Ramadanman/Pearson Sound, Panagea and Ben UFO's now much lauded label Hessle Audio. Following that, Cosmin was the first artist to be remixed on the very same label, as Martyn's remix of “Broken Heart” became a bona fide classic in the world of Dubstep. Since then his sound has not stopped evolving and mutating with every track and has earned him a slew of releases on a plethora of respected labels including Rush Hour, Bpitch Control, Untold's Hemlock, Hotflush, THE original Dubstep label Tempa and of course Modeselektor's 50 Weapons imprint. The hard to pin-point producer now finds himself making what can only loosely be described as Techno, with lashings of colour and Garage influences popping up every where this is hardly purist Techno.
Constantly mutating and branching out, Braiden is at the pinnacle of the bass music coming out of London. As one of its most able DJs, he employs an amalgam of sophisticated techniques and a selective imagination which takes in everything from sumptuous House to the most developed Dubstep, stopping by Garage, UK Funky, Disco and unpredictable Techno along the way.
Braiden rose to prominence as a DJ and photographer of the highest calibre, holding down a regular slot on the highly respected Rinse FM and regularly uploading dizzyingly good three-deck mixes that connect the dots between a whole range of tempos and styles. Not only is he a superb DJ but he has impressed the likes of Joy Orbison and Mary Anne Hobbs with his production skills. So much so that the latter gave him the opportunity to supply her with a showcase mix of nothing but his own tracks exclusively for her Radio 1 show. He also had his very first piece of music released on Orbison's very own Doldrums label late last year which received support from across the board. With this being Braiden's Leeds debut we thought it would only be right to give him a whole 90 minutes to showcase his incredible DJ skills.
