As pils I'd advice Jupiler and Maes, standards. or yeah, carapils. I'm only talking about belgian beers cause the only foreign one I ever drunk was pilsner urquell and it was SHIT !!

Stella > Maes > Jupiler. STANDARD. I really don't like Jupiler. I'd also rather prefer lots of more "local" pilsners like Estaminet, Bel or Adler over Jupiler.
And the only excuse for drinking Cara is when you're at a festival or you're so low on cash you can't afford to get drunk on something else (true story).
Oh and about foreign pilsners, the best I drunk, I think, because I'm not sure, was Schladminger in Austria. It's your typical standard beer but it definitely was better than the shit I got served in Spain, Egypt, ...

I'm not an expert on trappist beers or abbey beers though. In general, I'm not a real fan of heavy beers or darker beers. I do like Orval, Guiness and others though.

I actually quite like Stella, would rather have a Heineken though

Also people saying that Stella is light for them.. Ofcourse it's light. Stella's a pilsner, pilsner's are always light. If Stella's a heavy beer for you, then, wow..
On the other hand you're lucky because you don't need much money to get drunk.
And here it isn't expensive, it's only expensive because it's imported as some people already said.

SN is nice with food, dont like the tang after one on its own though

cant really remember any others i've drank i've really enjoyed

Dunham Dark is nice but its long for me to go anywhere near where they sell it

plus they are american. No idea why an American would want to import beers when they have stuff like that on their doorstop canny cheap (no import costs)

u crazy man, urquell is the only good pilsner out there (however I can understand just not liking pilsners at all).

This is by far my favourite. The liquor store by my house stopped selling it though. It's a half decent wheat beer, not like the weak shit that passes for wheat beer around here. I also quite enjoy Warsteiner, although all the german exchange students made fun of me for drinking it.



I'm not sure what's considered "high class", but there's some microbrewery imports at the liquor store by me for a$5-8 per 330 mL bottle. Called Raasted or something like that. I'm too poor to try them though
