Sacarious - Clubstep

Post by sacarious » Sun Sep 11, 2011 10:53 pm

Well this is my very first attempt and making dubstep, i know its not dirty enough but thats simply because i wanted to retain as much melody and atmosphere as i could.. I hope someone can give me some input on what they hear! :)

sounding really good for a first attempt man, really like the organ type sound and the chord progression its doing. the drums sound good but the kick and snare sound like theyre in different spaces try applying the same compression and reverb to the drums to make them sound more together. the wobble bass line melody works well, but the tone is a bit basic i think a really subby more chilled out tone would work better in this track. the track could also do with a bit more variation throughout. keep at it though man, definitely potential here. check out my new one in my sig and let us know what you reckon if you get chance :)

haha man, thats the stuff dreams are made of!
I want to know how to get that metallic sound on the wobble, I hate to be "that guy" but i love the sieraa leona wobble, if i could get something close to that without sounding identical i would be one happy camper.
i really like your track though dude, and thanks for the feedback, im thinking instead of adding in a sub bass overtop of the one thats there im going to try resampling the line as a whole and see what i can come up with xD

Can't add a lot more to what steeze has said. Drums are the main thing though, fix them and it'll sound a whack better already.
