Why disagree with me? All I wanted was for people who hate on the modern sound to stop claiming it's so horrible. Music is music, I wont judge you if you listen to Southern Rock, Gospel, Pop, or whatever the hell pleases you! As long as you're into something man, then you got a damn soul!

Also kizza2435 made a really damn well good point about how if somebody mentions somebody you're not into, just be cool about it. It's not gonna get anywhere arguing about it, cause it's what they like, and that's like taking away their pride and joy man. Nobody wants that. After that they wont even want you to suggest any music to them either probably!

just was using a general way of putting it. i dont concentrate too much on whats considered brostep or dubstep or "the real tunes" over the "annoying machine sounds." i concentrate more on whatever pleases my ears in dubstep. just get annoyed seeing the arguments all over the internet. like i said, the point of the thread was just to have people admit that the whole genre kicks ass. anyways this thread should just die now :q:

Speak for yourself, I've found this forum to be pretty friendly in the time I've been here. The reason you got the response you did is cos you came in here telling everyone they should agree with you or they're assholes, said some ignorant shit and then spat the dummy when you didn't get your way.

Also, your insistence on calling the midrange/brostep/UKF shit the 'modern sound' when there's heaps of different modern sounds out there is frustrating to most people here in the same way its frustrating to you when people say that shit sucks

Never had any trouble here. Say you see a group of people on the street talking about music. Suddenly you go up to them and start telling everybody they're wrong, and why do you think that and you should think this and shut up anyway! What do you think would happen? Sure, you might get a few of them want to hear your views and try and understand what's happening, but most of them will tell you to shut up.

Those same people in the group on the street also use the internet.

Okay where do I begin ? "Modern Sound" ? We have different views about that. By modern sound you probably mean all the circus crew and Canadian mandem who make chainsaw noises that help sweaty bros get laid. By modern sound I mean the deep dark sound from blackbox boxclever sublab, I also mean the smoother sound coming from antisocial/kromestar, the more housey/Bristolian vibes from Arkist. They are ALL "modern sound" and sound nothing like each other. That's how big the scene is for you. You think I'm hating on a sound because it's modern ? Fuck no I hate on a sound because it sounds like shit and hurts my ears.

Secondly, I'm cool with brostep. If a tune like that gets dropped in a set I'll just go to the bar or have a zoot outside. What I'm reaaaaally not cool with is that I can't say I listen to dubstep anymore !! When I do, the typical response I get is "uuuuuuuuh but it sounds like shit mate, how can you stand that kind of shit"

This, in my opinion, concludes this entire debate. And proves that anyone who's even a little bit familiar with the scene won't start this kind of discussion in the first place.

People need to concentrate on what they're doing, the scene has varied so much these days and isn't going to change because you don't like aspects of it.... and it's not yours to change, it's 'ours'.
