Re: Artwork for album? Where do you go?
I know a couple of graphic artists who do stunning work.
Cant say enough good about District9 and Heroin Hero.
Ive also done alot of artwork myself, and done some for friends before
Usually the label provides art though, n you have minimal thinking to do.

Myself usually.
Theres a guy who lives near me who done flyers for our club night (who actually posts on here) called Gko - his work is brilliant.

Re: Artwork for album? Where do you go?
My friend and I made the artwork for my ep together. He found the picture and we brainstormed the rest. I'm pretty happy with it.

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

My guys either use thier own photography, or hand paint/draw the images.

its cool, but if it hasn't been specifically designed for you it kinda lacks in personality

I am a photographer. I've only done one release, and it was my own photography, although the label did the text etc. I'd imagine i'd probably use more of my photography if I was confident my work was ready to be unleashed, but I keep outdoing myself hahaha

Normally I'd agree, but he was showing me a bunch of pictures that he took and one or two that he had found a while ago and that one caught my eye instantly. It was edited a lot too.brettheaslewood wrote:dont rob a picture off google then open it it paint and put "XXX ep by XXXXX"

Heres a low-res version of one of the robots district9 painted for me.

Im not gonna bother with the big bold ms paint letters, but dont steal my image, its completely original, hand-drawn work, and has my logo worked into it in several places, so taking it would do no good.
This though, is why you hire a professional. Quality, hard work, beautiful products, not MS paint scrapwork, not stolen google images.

Time and effort.
Knowing how to use colours and blending techniques.
Graphics tablets work too.
Its just like writing tunes, it just takes time; a lot of it!
I was going to post up some work ive done for future releases but like Basic A said; I don't really want people to steal it.
