man, must have touched on a nerve. sorry but to date i've heard about 2 non-jamaican brit mc's that can even stay on beat.. it's ok, the music production coming out of UK more than makes up for it. but let's face it america has the mc market on lock, we got more great mc's in your average county lock-up than britain has on your whole island. no offense meant, i listen to british music more than i listen to american hip-hop.

bwahahahahahahahahha...so i guess you're a little touchy on this subject. here's an idea instead of firing off insults at me (AGAIN) try giving me some examples of good brit mcs. might be i just haven't heard any. i do know "something about it" i keep waiting to hear some good shit, but have not. most grime strikes me as pretty poor, maybe the standards of what an mc is supposed to focus on are different.

in america staying on beat and flowing are far more important than say, rhyme or content, although the best have all these elements. most brit mc's i've heard seem more focused on getting their lines to rhyme even if it means pausing for a second to think about it (big no no here).

and i didn't dis a whole countries "hip hop" output, just saying in my experience i've not heard that many british mc's that can hang. don't get so defensive, jesus. you did catch the part when i said i listen to british music far more than american hip hop, right. or do you even read my whole posts before you go ballistic.

perhaps it is simliar to how i've read dj's differed in the early 1990's between britain and the US. now i read this, so again, try to respond intellegently, take a deep breath before you go jihad on me again.

i've read that while most american djs emphasize beat matching so you don't fuck up your cabbage patch on the dance floor; british dj's often didn't even try to beat match, often waiting for a track to play out or just jamming over the crossfader whenever they felt like it. (i know this is not the case today i read it in some book about house music awhile back)

perhaps this is a case of different standards, which my ignorant american ears don't understand yet.

again, stop insulting me and have a conversation allready. cut the east-cost-west-coast ego trip shit for a minute and just talk.

just reviewed mr. thomas' posts elsewhere on the forum.

mostly about what drugs he does, what shoes he buys, what expensive taste he has, very very impressive. good portion of them are him bashing on others including a good deal of gay bashing (not cool bud). suppose i should pick my battles, i'm wasting my time on this burnout.

Let me help you: I think Slick Rick came from the uk . . .
and alot of killer oldschool; gunshot, London Posse, Hijack, Katch 22 and the list goes on and on . . .
I am not from the UK so I´m not up to date of today, but I have picked up alot of records the last 10 years whith uk mc´s that is straight on point! You should check some out!
