Fort Arena was just that little bit too bassy (I can't believe I'm saying that), but it did lose the detail from the rest of the range. One physical experience though!

Dock just wasn't quite good enough at time. During the DMZ night people kept on chanting that they wanted it louder.

I'd say Mungo's was my favourite. That could have been just a reflection of how much I enjoyed Jah Shaka though. :corndance:

Everything was respectable at the least though. Although The Dungeon just sounded a bit of a mess to me. :? :(

cant believe some people are really saying all systems were great?! :o
was pretty much hit and miss for me. fort and mungo's were fuqqing heavy, that's what i expected to hear everywhere. ballroom, courtyard and dungeon were pretty weak, skipped a lot of sets i originally planned to hear, because of the poor sound. dockside had a MASSIVE lack of bass! meditate on bassweight? not there! main stage was pretty heavy but someone really fucked up the whole thing on saturday, shit was clipping like there was no tomorrow. probably my own fault to even go there just for the sake of seeing benga, should've known better... black box boat was decent though.
so yeah, i was really disappointed, because 90% of my favourite acts played on weak systems (or at least systems, which weren't set up properly). needs to be fixed next year!

i thought dockside was really weak too.. especially with the dmz night.. i was standing between those two big pilars in the middle and didnt really feel that much..
But the next day i saw something at dockside, with not that many people and then they did turn up the system really loud and believe me those subs were heavy over there too.. Pitty they didnt use it too its max capacity on the dmz night..
Mungo's Hifi soundsystem was the best experience at the Vibrations set.. man i never heard that system go that loud and weighty..
Ballroom did its job at the jay5ive, razor rekta, biome and darkside night.. Biome really smashed that place to bits, he went so deeeep  But then the room was fully packed.. Maybe that system comes to its right if theres nough people in that small circular room.. there were only speakers coming from one side there..

Black box boat party was something else too, stood in front and next to the speakers and literally everything was shaking over there.. i came of that boat with some ear damage and it lasted for a few hours.. was really scared for a bit, but it all came back then, that was a big relieve..

Courtyard was always to silent and lacking of sub too.. one time i even asked to turn up the system, but they didnt..
Oh well i can say i saw most of the acts i wanted to see on good and weighty systems.. so im not really disappointed.

If ur interested got loads of pics of different boat parties and evyerthing else on here in 3 albums :

yea i met one of the promoters some days after the festival and he told me that system was the best they had and that they chose it with mala. but i guess even the best system sounds only average if you don't use it properly.
also would like to check out some of the black box boat pics, but i'm not on facebook and there's no way i'm gonna join there.
