The fact that when kids started to have mobiles, you were considered a demi-god/shaman/badman if your phone had snake 2 on it. Snap on plastic covers (in luminous colours) were de rigeur for the hip kids.

My first phone was a hand-me-down Nokia 3110. It had been my sister's, and had a fuckin TEDDY BEAR screen logo that I could NOT get rid of. I did not have snake 2 on my phone. But then again, I had no friends so it didn't matter. :i:

That post makes me feel old pffft!

First mobile phone I had wasn't even digital and was on contract with BT back when British Telecom were still allowed to be a player in the mobile market. My dad got it for free with his contract and gave it to me and my mum. My mum had it most of the time and I'd borrow - usually when going on tour with the paintball team. This would have been around 94/95 so no one else had a mobile phone to call

Having seen the launch of the first mobiles in the 80s to the mini computers we have today with argumentation reality..... its fucking scary how fast tech moves.

Yeah, my parents had one which ended up being mine for nights out... it had a little extendy aerial and everything, though that was a few years after 94/95!

My first 'proper' phone was:
