How to Mix

Im trying to learn to mix (with cdjs) but its quite overwhelming when you first start, can anyone help me out or does anyone know any good tutorials?
Ive literally just started so everything is new to me.

Hopefully someone can help

Try with the simplest two tracks you possibly can. What CDJ's are you using? For starting out makesure the two tracks are the same bpm and concentrate on trying to get the beats to match. E.G Kick on one track in the same place as the kick on the other track with both tracks playing at the same time and snare on the other in the same place. As long as the hat rhythms aren't incredibly polyrhythmic they will match up. Once you got this it's down to you how creative you get. Hope this helps.

i learnt mix using pretty much all joker, for some reason. cos its all 140, snare on third etc. first just tried to match up the snares, was a god place to start.

Thanks for the replies. Ive got 1000s mk2 and a djm 400. Im getting the hang of it but working out the bpm (when the cdj doesnt recognise it) is hard lol.

this.dont look at the bpm,it will make you a better mixer and you will be able to line up the tunes quicker

When you say dont look at the bpm do you mean dont even bother trying to work it out, just try to match tunes completey on what im hearing?

heres the thing, if you dont know the bpm do the following:
play tune a normally. have tune b on your headphones, try to "grab" it where the beat starts (not sure if that works well with cdj's) and let it play so the first kickdrums of both tunes are synced.
if you hear tune b's snare before tune a's, you know tune b is too fast. if it comes after tune a's snare, it's too slow.

with dubstep that's actually quite easy so you should learn fast.
