The track that got you into dubstep?
The track that got you into dubstep?
[REPOST?]
NOT the first track you ever heard. The actual track that made you think "Oh fuck yes, this shit is the next ting", as an everyday 13 year old, who does nothing but drink, smoke and do the "bud" would say..
Mine was Benga & Coki - Night. Don't know what it is. It took some time adjusting, as at the time I was 12, and I was into UK bassline and heavy metal, etc. But after time, I got hooked on this one track, and it became my favourite dubstep track.

A little over a year ago, I heard my first 'dubstep' track at church. They played basshead by bassnectar. Definitely got me listening haha.

Re: The track that got you into dubstep?
I started off on Dj mixes..so I can't say that a specific "song" got me into it...
although the first song that I can recall the name of - is Digital Mystikz Ancient Memories...
probably from a Selector Moldy mix...
He used to post on the BreatBeat Science Board - and that's how I got to it...
I had been seeing the term Dubstep for awhile -
but I thought it was just another kid trying to name a new stylistic movement in D+B..
I was collecting Subtitles and DSCI records and stuff by Kemal and Rob Data..at the time
Then I heard Dubstep and loved it immediatly
because it reminded me of the early - funky/dark D+B...that I love..
Hatcha spinning his Zinc style breakbeats..Dubstep Allstars 1
Vol 3 was my favorite for a long time...
It was the first genre since D+B to win my affection fully...
missed 2-step - missed speed garage - hit dubstep

Probably this one:
Funny when I look back at how my taste's changed since then...
What first got me into dubstep as I now know it was definitely Skream's first album though
