that's alright but nothing special, sounds more like a bootleg/mixtape thing instead of a proper release.

assuming its a straight publishing deal on this, skream would only get credited in the official liner notes. just like the benga and eve track.Dub_freak wrote:No credit to skream

The bomb squad did a warm up DJ set for Public Enemy a few years back and it was all decent dubstep (think they played DMZ the same night), still hoping there might be some decent public enemy dubstep in the pipeline.

why does the instrumental sound wank, I don't remember the original sounding that bad.

DJ Lord from Public Enemy has been playing dubstep for years too.Mr Hyde wrote:The bomb squad did a warm up DJ set for Public Enemy a few years back and it was all decent dubstep (think they played DMZ the same night), still hoping there might be some decent public enemy dubstep in the pipeline.
This track's not bad, but I wouldn't buy it or play it myself. I'm not really into current US rap, but Mobb Deep was pretty cool back in the day.

Not THAT bad. but i never really liked the original anyways

Yeah, Hank Shocklee recorded a few other sets too, for samurai radio or something like that. they were pretty good.Mr Hyde wrote:The bomb squad did a warm up DJ set for Public Enemy a few years back and it was all decent dubstep (think they played DMZ the same night), still hoping there might be some decent public enemy dubstep in the pipeline.

didn't we do this already when snoop did it in 2009?

yeah the eq/mix on this is horrible. the live version actually sounded better.Mr Hyde wrote:that's alright but nothing special, sounds more like a bootleg/mixtape thing instead of a proper release.
