wear earplugs > the sounds quieter
dont wear earplugs > hearing loss > sounds quieter

Either way the sounds quieter

though plugs do avoid that awful pain the moment you get away

lololol! you loose frequency selectivity as well, which impairs your ability to heard the fine details in a song or to understand speech in noise.

custom made earplugs are the way to go.... best $80 ive spent tbh

yuhhhhh. they are boss. you can leave them in when you dj. and you can switch between maximum attentuation and balanced attenuation.
i got mine for $40 coz im in school for audiology
