Mixing

so christmas is approaching and ive decided its time for a new mixer, unfortunatly the behring djx700 just doesnt cut it anymore so ive put my choices down too two and honestly dont know what to get, the Allen & Heath Xone: 22 or the Pioneer DJM 250.

what do you guys think?

The Xone everytime, pioneer make awesome players, but I have no love for those mixers, only one Ive ever been in close contact with fell to shit pretty fast.

The DJM-707/909 mixers are built like tanks so I don't know what you're on about. Got no experience with either of those mixers though.

just got a xone 32 after having a djm 500 for a couple years and i couldnt be happier! xone all the way

I've been using the :22 for a few months now, great mixer overall feel is great. (mind that the filter if for the master,
so it always applies to both channels. Might be something to look out for if you don't use any other interface to control effects
etc.)

Pioneer make terrible mixers, it's a generally accepted fact. No idea why clubs insist on using them, and thus perpetuating the cycle of them being industry standard.

I've got a pioneer djm-400, it's a powerful little mixer, the effects panel is simple to use, and i've let people use it who redlined it to hell (every knob turned all the way up), no clipping or anything. the major downside is there is no XLR output and only 2 active channels :(

I'm actually not a huge fan of the 800's though, they are HUGE.
