Agreed... if I didn't take bipolar meds I can all but guarantee you I would be getting 5150'd every three months or dead. What if someone has schizophrenia, should they just man up and ignore the hallucinations?Teknicyde wrote:atticuh wrote:With all due respect, there are way too many factors as to why anti-depressants didn't work for you and why you may feel less depressed now as opposed to earlier in your life. Furthermore, to attribute the inefficacy of your treatment solely on the idea that "pharmaceutical treatments" don't work is incredibly short-sighted simply due to the complexity of that particular class of psychotropic medications. Causality, especially in pharmaceutical treatments regarding psychiatric conditions, is extremely difficult to establish without proper experimentation and control groups, and even then, every individual's body chemistry is so different that the various outcomes and adverse reactions can only be predicted as percentages of a population with fair margins of error.Mammoth wrote: +1 I was on antidepressants for 16 years and now that I'm off and learned to deal with it I've been way more "antidepressed."

Re: So, how do you guys stay up late in the studio ?
I find I work best at night tbh, I find it very easy to stay motivated and this alone normally keeps me awake. Also I have got myself into this routine of going to bed at like 3 and getting up for work at 7. My body kinda hates it, but I have done it so much It's got used to it.
In Summary: give your body lots of shit and it will learn to deal with it

Ok, so either the chemicals in my brain arent as balanced as they should be on their own and that somehow has a bearing on how much of a man I am, or you are just an ignorant simpleton. I'll keep my vote to myself though.

Nah, don't think so, although my mother has always thought I was borderline BP, but I do take prescribed meds for ADHD, depression and migraines so if that kid thinks that makes me a pussy then so be itManic Harmonic wrote:are you a fellow bipolar high-roller?[asterisk] wrote:Ok, so either the chemicals in my brain arent as balanced as they should be on their own and that somehow has a bearing on how much of a man I am, or you are just an ignorant simpleton. Re: So, how do you guys stay up late in the studio ?
tonight I was feeling motivated, and I told myself I was seriously going to sit down and work on a track. usually I stay up all night somewhat working and mostly getting distracted, sooo I thought I'd go buy some energy drinks.
they have definitely worked so far, and I will do it again.
