Mastering with Ozone and that little Dungeon Sound

Post by highdrake » Sun Oct 02, 2011 2:11 pm

Hey everyone. Got two questions. I'm using Ozone Isotrope 4 for mastering purposes and so far I think it's pretty good, but I still don't understand everything fully about it yet. Does anyone else use this program, and if so, could you give me your mastering settings. I think the best way to learn is to do.

Also, I've searched but couldn't find anything on how to make dungeon sounds from Massive. Anyone have any guides or your own thoughts on how to do this?

Oh and one last question.. I'm using FL Studio and would like to know how to turn my bass to mono. I've heard there are benefits to doing so but can't for the life of me figure it out in Ozone or FL Studio.

Here's a couple videos to get you started!

As for settings, every track is different! But the more you use it the easier it will become.

To mono a bass in FL Studio;

-Assign bass to a mixer channel
-Go to that channel
-Above the volume control is a little dial
-Turn it all the way to the right.

This is the stereo separation control, turning it to the left will made the sound wider, turning it to the right will make it more mono. You should be able to tell if it's worked as the volume levels in the Left/Right output channels (above the dial) should always be equal rather than fluctuating at different dbs.
