New Ableton Producer Tips and Pointers Needed

Hey guys, im semi new to the forums (i've skimed through posts for awhile now but just now finally got around to registering)

I'm still new to production in general, and after fiddling with a handful of DAWs ive come to really like Live 8
Ive already seen (and am currently checking out) the Production Bible, but i was wondering if anyone could possibly help me out?
Im just looking for any general help (tips, pointers, suggested VSTs and plug ins, etc) that could help me out and really just any general knolege
of where to learn and expand my small knowledge of production, most particularly in Live 8. As said before im new to all of this but have a burning
desire to learn and create and have some grand ideas, just lacking the knowledge and know how to get them all out. Thanks in advance for any tips, pointers, or suggestions
you may have to offer. As for sounds im aiming for, im looking to make a wide range of tunes from filthy bass riddled tunes to more melodic low key tunes to even clean bass dub so any type of producer can help me out. I really appreciate this!
