Bristol - Record shops

Post by Burlish » Mon Oct 03, 2011 2:48 pm

I'm working down in Bristol tomorrow and will be dropping into the Idle hand's store hopefully,

Just a quick question,

Are there any other record shops i should check out while i'm down there ?

Cheers

Go to a clothes shop up the top of Gloucester Road called 'Re-Psycho'

They have a record shop downstairs called Prime Cuts, and I think there's actually another Prime Cuts directly opposite that.

Ask for the garage box.

@bmilner

I think Chemical are just online mate.

@abs

I'm slightly intimidated by prospect of going to a shop called ''Re-Psyco'' and asking for ''the garage box'', however, i trust you that it isn't some kind of sick fetish shop.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Hopefully i can spend my wages before iv'e even made it home :/

I read...''Unit C2 St. Vincents Trading Estate''... and assumed that they just had a unit.

How foolish...

Cheers bmilner.

You can buy from Chemical, but its pretty much like Argos. You order your records from the computer at the front desk, then they bring them out to you. There are a few second hand record shop's at the bottom of Gloucester Road, you might find some bits you want in there. I think for freshness, Idle Hands and Chemical are your best bet. :W:
Forthcoming releases on Boka and Orientis Records.

@Killa

I think i'll give Chemical a miss if it's one of those.

Hopefully if the weathers nice and i finish work early enough i'll be on more of a browsin though record shop vibe :D

I'll try and check out Gloucester Rd if i can too.

Sound.

(Thanks for that Marx. :t: )

Managed to get over to Idle hands in the end, but didn't fancy going anywhere else after the trek from the station lol.

Will definitely be visiting again next time i'm around.
