Went back and had some fun with a track I did a few months ago. Let me know what you think!

On your "big nasty" bass, you need to spend some time taking all the resamples and volume matching them. It dips out too much to have the schizophrenic cut back and forth sound I think you're looking for. The bass is also a couple decibels too high over the drums. You can tell you mixed into a compressor, removing any impact at all from the drum tracks. You need the crazy white noise swooshes and filter sweeps into and out of the changes to build tension, they're a huge part of EDM.

Cool track, and nice job not going stupid on the midrange resample-style bass.

PS if you want more feedback, give other people feedback. That's what I'm doing.

Thank you very much, this is exactly what I'm looking for! And good idea, I shall contribute more to other threads :)
