Re: October 48 hour comp roll call
Lemme just get this straight. No restrictions beyond time? We can make any genre? Or any dubstep style?

any genre, any length (within reason- say no more than 8 minutes for example), mp3 format. any samples, any synths, any DAW
its freedom man, taste it

lol. I started on accident for another reason. This dude needed some chill music for a youtube video so I started it and then I realized that I could use this for the competition. It was just good timing that I started within the time slot.

I can't get any of my stuff to fit together >:( Running out of timeeeeeeee

Re: October 48 hour comp roll call
What I did was I experimented with a workflow I've never tried before. Instead of constantly worrying about EQ and stuff, I just put all my instruments and samples in the sequencer and jammed it out, and then at the end I did some TINY EQing and leveling. It's way better for me to do it that way because I usually get caught up in how hard my kick hits and then I'm like fuck this.

Re: October 48 hour comp roll call
I've tried that too, but then I start adding stuff to get the feel right because the kick sample or something needs an "adjustment". lol
Just went and saw this jazz band and they incorporated synths and samplers. And now I'm pretty inspired. I may scrap what I worked on so far to just go with something more experimental....maybe....
