Marcgbeats - Care For Me

Post by marcg » Thu Oct 13, 2011 9:15 pm

Soundcloud

One of the earlier tunes i put together and i came back to it loving the beat. I haven't actually played this to many people so would be great to get some feedback, especially from peeps outside the 'gang'.

Any criticism is greatly appreciated

Peas and love.

I agree with you about the beat, it has a good feel to it. What I like most about this track is the pad-like melody in the background, and I think it sounds particularly good during the part that starts around about 2:30, I don't know if you intended it, but it makes me think of early 90s music (remember working my way backwards to early prodigy stuff having first heard Fat of the Land), but that might just be me! I am not so keen on the vocals, although also quite haunting, it got a bit irritating after a little while. I think they might actually be a bit too loud although that might also just be a question of taste. Would be interesting to hear what it would sound like if the vocals were a bit less frequent and and a bit more varied in terms of the pattern. Overally think it's a really promising track, well done!

Jean thanks for your input. I can understand where you're coming from with the vocal but for me i don't really feel the same way in terms of how it is repetitive although possibly the level is a bit loud as i done it like this so more attention if paid to the beats, (well that is what i was attempting to achieve.) I wasn't directly going for a 90's feel but i'm pretty happy it turned out that way. I might go back to this again if i find the time and maybe do another version with some more variation as you have suggested.

thanks again mate, much appreciated.
