Is Datsik brostep?

Hi I'm new, and I've been getting into an argument on another forum about whether or not Datsik was brostep. Personally I didn't think Datsik was brostep at all but when I referenced Retreat saying that it was dubstep and they told me it was pure brostep. Is Datsik brostep? And if so then what do you guys consider dubstep?

Also I'm terribly sorry if this is the wrong section I was not sure where to post this but I saw 'debate' on the board description so I chanced it.

To be clear, I actually like quite a few Datsik tracks. IMO, Jenova Project, Galvanise and Swagga are amazing, but him and Excision are pretty much the epitome of brostep

So wait a sec... You're saying that because the dumbest people on the internet say it's brostep... that it is, indeed, brostep?

I'd put most of Datsik's stuff under the 'brostep' category, but I don't think you can categorize someone's production so narrowly unless you've heard all of it. Too many closed-minded fucks dropping opinions as law...

Oh come on... It's common knowledge that the more there are comments describing how 'filthy' the track is, the more it's brostep. You must know this, right?

All this I have considered Dubstep and you're all telling me that I've been wrong this whole time and this is all actually brostep? Is there no real fine line between brostep and dubstep because most people here in America would consider all of that dubstep, hell most people in America consider Skrillex to be dubstep though I don't consider his songs to be in that genre at all.

It was a very heated debate, and in the end I guess I didn't want to trust a forum devout to an virtual Lego game for information. But I suppose I was wrong in the long run anyway, so I guess it really didn't matter in the first place.
