Re: George W. Bush-step
Alright dude, like the intro and the first part. Some of thos bass sounds sound too seperate, they sound forced together, maybe modulate them or something, to get them to fit together. Except that, I like the samples, beat, noted etc. All good man.
Re: George W. Bush-step
Can you specify which parts? I'm will take a look at It and defiantly take your advice, which bass sounds are you talking about?
Re: George W. Bush-step

Sup man, about 30 seconds in, the bass that comes in there, it just sounds too seperate, though a nice sound on it's own. Yeah I do like this track man, fix that and it'll be, for me, better.

How would you recommend doing that? Also, thank you for reply, haven't Been able to get much feedback
Should I add some sort of reverb to connect the beat better?

No worries man, I know how difficult it can be to get feedback. As for how, I'm not sure, lots of things can work, but it really comes down to personal opinion. Trial and error.

Lovin' this track, man!
Check out mine if y'have time. It's minimal dark dubstep, my first time producing minimal, and it is minimal haha. See what y'think.

GWBUSHSTEP, Almost finished need feedback
My almost finished george bush song, can i get some feedback on how i can improve?
Re: GWBUSHSTEP, Almost finished need feedback
Anyone? feedback is hard to come by these days!
Re: GWBUSHSTEP, Almost finished need feedback
lol, it sounds really cool. it sounds like your relatively new, you need to add a sub bass and you also need some compression and limiting, but the basics of a good track are there
by the way i was lolling cos the gw bush samples are awesome haha

im really looking to improve here, i just re-uploaded the song the melody part or whatever you wanna call it has a little side-chain action. let me know if you like it
also, which parts do you recommend adding sub bass to? the melody part? or the drop parts?
ive compressed quite a lot of things in this track, but i havent used a limiter, what exactly should i use the limiter for?
EDIT: Updated song should be signiture

Well you would just limit certain sounds, that are coming through a little to hot so that you are not clipping, through your mixer. Im still kinda new as well, anyone else wanna add on to this?...

if the bassline aint got sub then it aint dubstep, simple as

no, you would typically add a limiter to your master output track once your ready to render the track, i would leave it bypassed or turned off while you're working on the track though. I use voxengo elephant.ReachZenith wrote:Well you would just limit certain sounds, that are coming through a little to hot so that you are not clipping, through your mixer. you're correct in saying the limiter will stop anything from clipping by reducing anything that clips (goes above 0db) back down to 0db. But the important thing it does is it makes your track a lot louder.
sub bass is very important in dubstep, do some googling on sub bass techniques etc. you need it underneath all your basslines.
