i remember browsing through emusic.com's catalog of music and liking the label image so much that i clicked it to see what this song sounded and being so entranced and touched by this track. this is one of those tracks that if you don't know Dubstep you just go WTF is this?! love it. :4:

:corndance: Definately feeling Actraiser. He had a tune on a Stoke Audio compilation that was pretty sick too.

Yes! Thank you for this thread! "Stumbling across a gem" is a really good way to describe most of the reason that I love this genre. And it's really hard to articulate what exactly makes a gem - that kind of ethereal, transcendant melody that just floats over the bass. Somewhere between boring downtempo and pure cheese lies the perfect sound.

I've found some good suggestions on the emo-step thread: http://www.dubstepforum.com/dubstep-to- ... 66736.html
but a lot of it is too slow or just doesn't do it for me. It's pretty subjective what resonates with you, y'know?

I like that Actraiser and Digital Farm Animals and I really like that Lecs No Name Wascal Mix.

Here's my compilation so far (a lot of Distance and Mala!):

Distance - Fallen (Vex'd Remix)
Flying Lotus - I Feel Like Dying
Gatekeeper - Let Go [HD]
Distance - Falling
Amy Winehouse - Love Is A Losing Game (Moody Boyz Vocal Mix)
Telepopmusik - Smile_(Kojak_Remix)
Flippo - Rain
VGB - Good Vibes
Mala - Education
Fish Finger - Exhausted
Mala - Forgive
Distance - No Sunshine
Saviour - Sound Of Love
Digital Mystikz - DMZ vs MZN

And I'll keep looking!
