Re: Beginner's Mixer
That thing looks pretty cool, I used to have something similar only without the USB functionality. I liked mine alot, never had any problems with noise, hums, or feedback. Mackie knows mixers that's for sure, the effects are actually half way decent as well. My only question is what do you need it for, do you have a band, or a bunch of synths/samplers to connect?

What do you need it for?
How are you doing your mixing at present?
Re: Beginner's Mixer
Glad they cleared that upThe "Pro" in ProFX stands for Pro.
Re: Beginner's Mixer
A local pawn shop had a HUGE Behringer Eurodesk for only $850. My Dad got it and has it sitting in his storage (hoarding) building. Won't even let me use it.
But I'm saving up for a 24 channel mixer to add to my studio when I get an apartment. But I'm tired of everything I find around here being USB. I just feel unprofessional not having powered equipment.
Both of my keyboards are usb but I still have them routed through midi cables.

What's wrong with mastering (mixing) tunes in the daw / with external software.

Re: Beginner's Mixer
well you certainly wouldn't master with anything like that. I'm pretty sure this mixer is for bringing sub-mixes of analogue source audio into the DAW environment, rather than bringing mixes out.AxeD wrote:What's wrong with mastering (mixing) tunes in the daw / with external software.

Re: Beginner's Mixer
You'll probably want a dj mixer then
Re: Beginner's Mixer
Well, if you're actually DJing and mixing on the spot at said parties, you'd want a DJ mixer. 2-4 channels, crossfader, etc...
If you're just playing tracks... get an ipod.

Re: Beginner's Mixer
As people have said above. Though as someone who enjoys DJ'ing i couldn't encourage you enough to buy a DJ mixer.
Abstrakt.

Yes, that looks more like what you're after, be careful of the Behringers though, they have a rep.mainstreamdubhead wrote:So i would like something like this?vertx wrote:You'll probably want a dj mixer then
