Mate, I'm not about to take someone's kind offer of free stuff solely to sell it on for profit, that's just rude IMO.

In fact, I think it helped to work with such limitations when I started... Learned about lean and efficient workflow.

i don't see being able to run anything on it. my mom has like an 8 year old lampshade g4 imac (several generations newer than the one you're talking about) and it can't even use the new itunes, nothing new will run on it.
Re: Been offered a free iMac G3; worth taking it for product
i would keep it to watch porn and possible use like mad ep said...so you can keep your main maschine running smooth

I'm not thinking that I can suddenly get Logic 9 running flawlessly on it, but a dedicated machine with a couple of standalone Mac only VSTs/sound editors that I can use purely for audio work...I gotta admit, that idea does make my nipples a bit hard.

Wub - I'm planning on hooking up my OS9 machine this weekend anyway... I'll make a list of the stuff I found most useful. Anything that was freeware I'll just zip up for you to save you the trouble of having to try to track it down.wub wrote:^^ This, basically.Sharmaji wrote:then use older stuff.aeser wrote:i don't see being able to run anything on it. my mom has like an 8 year old lampshade g4 imac (several generations newer than the one you're talking about) and it can't even use the new itunes, nothing new will run on it.
