Fixing Midi Controller Latency in Ableton
Hello, so I'm a relative newcomer to electronic music production. Basically, my problem is that with Ableton, all my midi controllers have a considerate delay from when I hit a note to when its transcribed into the program. I was wondering, what do I need to fix this? I was thinking about buying a soundcard but I'm not entirely sure that that will fix it. Anyways, it would be great if you guys could help me with this problem.
Re: Fixing Midi Controller Latency in Ableton
Yeah the soundcard is probably the problem. Though for reference you can change the latency in 'preferences' in the menu.
Re: Fixing Midi Controller Latency in Ableton
get a real soundcard, preferably with asio driver. never look back.
