This is one of Tarantino's best IMO. Loved so many of the characters & scenes!wub wrote:

The length didn't really bother me too much, i don't mind lengthy movies at all really. But besides the characters Tarantino created for this film it wasn't too great. Tarintino is an artist but this movie wasn't too clever especially compared to his true greats like Resevoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. This is more about the visual and cinematic side of movies, vs the creative imagery and screenplay.wub wrote:defoxster wrote:This is one of Tarantino's best IMO. It's 25% too long. Shave a quarter off the run time, compress a few scenes down and yes, it would be truly great.

YES! my calc teacher showed us this one last yearvertx wrote:

A straight forward thriller with predictable plot twists.. However, it has an interesting concept and the acting is on point. I'd give it a 7/10

I don't remember posting in this thread, but it says I have; anyhow, what are your views on this film? I saw this back in HS like 9 years ago and thought it was cool on a superficial level. I've seen it a few times since showing it to friends, but when I saw this like a year or two ago I finally realized the significance of that movie. If you know anything about Japan you'll know that the collapse of the bubble era in the 90's had a deep impact on its society which is still felt today: think lost generation(s).cityzen wrote:Do not bother with the sequel, it's utter gash.wizeguy wrote:
