Seriously... what?

Post by DJDM » Sun Oct 30, 2011 4:32 am

So I was looking at the comments for some Joker song on YouTube, I forget which... Somebody commented, "This is what dubstep is." Someone else replied saying, "No, this is post-dubstep, dude."

WHAT?

Idk why would you ever take a YouTube comment to heart? It's a breeding ground for stupidity

This is why you don't read Youtube comments.

If that bothers you don't read the comments on Digital Mystikz - Haunted. You'll cry.

I couldn't stop myself... :u: :u: :u:

This comment made me cry. It was on Haunted
Ah.. yuck.. I love dubstep (mostly melodic), but this shit right here.. not tasteful at ALL... This track could have been 90% shorter, as it only repeats the EXACT same shit OVER and OVER, which additionally is disgusting to listen to..

ive lsitened to some of digital mystikz now, thanks to this forums on going obsession with it and tbh i find it dull, take this for example

whats the point in it, i dont smoke anymore and well i realize it was produced back in 2006 but now it sounds chronically out of date.

compared to say something like this, which was released only 2 years after (but probably made before)

this has aged a lot better, overall whilst trying to remain as objective as possible. im sorry traditionalists of the scene if i defy you :cornlol:

I'm honestly not a huge fan of Walking With Jah, but come on, they've made some amazing tunes:

Had to dig this thread back up for a Youtube comment that made me laugh, facepalm and die a little inside all at the same time. I was watching the video for Freshlyground - I'd Like (you know, that song that Mt Eden ruined), and some guy in the comments was trying to say that the Mt Eden ripoff was better. I said to him that Mt Eden is horrible, and I say that as a massive dubstep fan. He replied:
then you don't know alot about dubstep because mt eden is one of the first in the genre. Mt Eden also had a big influence of getting dubstep to mainstreak and a well-known status.

Yeah, seems you've been schooled dude. There's no arguing with those youtube purists.
