the first one was absolutely dreadful for me... it was literally:

*spoiler*

an hour and a half of creepy camera shots and backstory leading up to a jump scare

I didn't bother watching the sequels... is the first one really necessary to watch for them? If so, I guess it'd be worth watching, they're really that good...

1 was good cause it was the first "big" movie of its kind.

2 was my favorite cause it has story to it and i liked how it took place before and after 1.

3 was meh, too many unneccesary jumps, i dont know how to explain it, but it seemed like they are drifting away from their intentions in the first one. Like when the babysitter was gone then scared the camera, i KNEW she was gonna do that. Just shit liked that. I will admit though. *spoilers* i really was expecting the kid underneath the sheet and when it dropped i was like FFUUUUUUUUUUUUU. Then when the shit fell from the ceiling in the kitchen that was sick. And when the girls hair got pulled by Toby. It was good not gonna lie. But 2 was my favorite.

*spoilers end*

i liked how in 2 there was the subsonic 20hz ish tone when something was about to happen. in 3 they used 20,000 hz instead lol

[rec] was good yeah.

I guess I'll check out Paranormal Activity since it's Halloween. The whole marketing thing just reminded me of The Fourth Kind and some other recent pseudo-documentary both of which were a huge pile of letdown. Blair Witch disappointed me too when it came out. Just weary of that type of stuff these days.

Hopefully they come out with a directors cut including an extended sex scene.
