Rick Louie - Crepuscular EP (Dubstep?)

Post by extremesociety » Fri Oct 28, 2011 9:06 pm

I haven't put this up somewhere before for broader criticism, but I'm definitely interested in what you all might think about these tunes. Feel free to speak your mind. I definitely love the darker, deeper sides of dubstep. Vocals are all mine.

not bad sounds unique, is that you on the talkboc vocoder? You def have that funk influence you cant run from. The middle section the key seems to go off a little but maybee you wanted that? Makes it sound like halloween. One word of advice is just to pay attention to your key signatures.

Ya....vocals are mine, the wobble in the bridge is done in hertz not in synch so it's a bit off on purpose I suppose. There is no real key signature, the harmony is way more modal, especially the main riff which is floating between e min and d maj with the maj 7 #11 arpeggio, and the bridge is more Lydian #5 than anything, especially when the piano riff comes in. I've been a piano player my whole life, so that inevitably comes through.
