Pillow Fight is a bass monster blended duo, Shank Aaron and Dirt Monkey, hailing us soaking slappers from Colorado’s filthiest frequency veins. With this release, “100WATTS EP”, the two have shot us with dirty, down n'dub, dap & dooming energy injections. Right off the top we embody the name of the first track, “100 Watts”, a tune that evokes from sound conduits, a haunted control mechanism of pure booming watts, aggravating our functions into one. Next out the barrel is a tracked titled, “Personal”, posed with irony for the whiplashed – ‘I’m taking this personally’ - thrashing reaction the track boils from our being. Rhythmic drums and synths float grey matter through the vortex of a newborn bass odyssey, birthing a boisterous blend of personal blapper buddies. Next up, we embody the name of this track, “Loosing Control”, as robotic-bass-bot beats swirl us into their gadget galaxy of groomed goodness. A fresh, spicy & twisted addition to this EP comes in the form of a certified moobahcore, booty poppin, hottie hoppin, jump-saucin juju jam titled, “OOO Girl”. Artist Bio
Pillow Fight is the combination of two of Colorado’s extremely well versed dubstep musicians, Shank Aaron and Dirt Monkey. With years of experience exploring solo projects, the two combined to start playing live sets together in 2009, and have since been playing numerous venues across the west, spinning alongside a long list of names including Skrillex, 12th Planet, Stunna, Siren, Mikey Fisher, Freddy Todd, Andy C, Nit Grit, Joker, ill Gates, Eprom, and Vaski. With the recognition they have been gaining and the talent they have been revealing, they have released an EP on Prime Dub, along with forthcoming releases on True Score Theory, with Dirt Monkey having forthcoming releases for both Play Me and Rottun. Their music, always staying with huge whomps and deep bass, is becoming a well known and popular sound in Colorado, and is swiftly moving to other states. Carrying with them a dedicated following of dubsteppers to each of their shows, this high energy, huge sound duo is quickly rising and becoming a premier dubstep experience.
