Hey all.
Does anyone know of a way to send the click track to a separate output for monitoring? I want to do some live looping and stuff, but obviously I can't have the click track in the song :P

I'm guessing you could sync the midi clock with a rewire and then use the other DAW for a seperate click track.

I guess.

Oooooooooor you could just make a custom click track? and send it through another output? Reason suports multi-outputs bro, no problem. Just make sure you have a multi-output interface then.

And i'm pretty sure -6 db is 1/4, -3 db is 1/2.

Quite a dumb question but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Is there a way to see the notes you play as in Logic?
Like C/C m and so on.

In Logic there is a little visual box on the bottom center and honestly, I haven't payed 300 for a DAW where I can't see the notes I'm playing.

Just look at your keyboard when playing then

But to answer your question, if you are on Reason6 or Reason4/5 and Record1/1.5 then you could use neptune with the scale set to chromatic and bypass the effect.

Hi
Iv just brought a copy of Reason off Ebay to rewire into Ableton
but it seriously takes about 5 minutes to load just 1 sample into Redrum

Is there any way to speed up the process
Cheers

Iv got a quad core pc at the moment its no the best but it works lol

I think its because i have a shit load of samples categorised into kicks, snares etc
and when i want to find a kick it has to load about 5000 kicks

I just wanted to know if anyone else had this problem and if there was a way to sort it out :u:

Yeah man its soo annoying
the only way iv found to get around it is to use a different program to find the sample you wanna use then save them in a folder then open in Reason

now this would take a LOOOOOT of time at first, but you could always make a bunch of differnt folders for the kicks, and organize them by different sonic characteristics or just put them in folders 1,2,3,etc. obviously you would need a lot of folders to sort out 5,000 kicks, but you could do it and it would defenitly save some time in the long run.

There's definitely something wrong with your pc's. I have a sample bank of like 45 GB drum samples only, and it never takes me more than a second to load the bank or the sample.

Just found this http://www.peff.com/journal/2008/04/02/ ... r-systems/

In this thor step sequencer refill, there is a .thor patch that can be used as a metronome. You can obviously very easily send this to it's own channel.

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

What do you mean, one shot? Just use the envelopes man, that's what they are there for. And if you have none left, route a new one into a CV in.
