Soundcloud Groups

Post by zerbaman » Fri Nov 11, 2011 2:56 am

Well, I've been thinking of joining one, anyone here got experience with them? They worth it? Even any good ones?

Gave a brief search under "bass music" and there were loads, a lot of them I thought were a bit big. I'd like to post where people would actually see and think "eh why not" if you get me? Seems to easy to disappear in larger groups.

Probably most important, is anyone here "moderating" any groups?
Do you say zerbaman? Or do you say zebraman?

That's a bit big imo lol
Plus, I'm not sure my stuff is exactly dubstep, which is why I'm looking more towards generic bass music groups. I'll message Trip though.

What do groups do for you as a Soundclouder? I'm curious...

in my experience, it can be kind of hit or miss. some groups just attract a ton of song spamming and don't really get any listeners, but there are others that i've definitely benefitted from being a part of. i've gotten some steady listeners/followers and solid feedback from joining and posting songs in some groups, but it all comes down to finding the right group. i tend to gravitate towards moderated groups and groups with only a few hundred songs in them, but there are dudes who just post their new tunes in hundreds of groups and find some success there, so who knows.

I run a group called Sub-Bass:

Focusing on dubstep / bass music. Haven't had much time to mod it recently but there's been some good music posted in there.

whoever is interested in joining a new group, bass, where people actually listen to the group's music and give feedback to eachother, that would be cool.

soundcloud.com/groups/sub-level-three/

DSF has got one aswell though soundcloud.com/groups/DSF/

But I don't know how active it is or anything.
