Re: DMT
dmt is the most powerful drug i've ever done. 15 minutes felt like 8 hours. if done properly, with a sober person there to make sure you don't freak out, and indoors in the safety of your own home... it can be a real life experience.
that said, i would do the less powerful ones of its kind first... lsd, shrooms, etc... before doing dmt. dmt is definitely a drug you need to be prepared for.

Re: DMT
Maybe it's just me but I have a hard time imagining anyone having a "bad trip" on it. Without getting into too much detail, each time it was hard for me not to smile for days afterwards. While its just if not more intense than a heroic dose of shrooms, it's not nearly as intimidating or forceful on you. It's 15 minutes max and if you wanna cut your trip all you have to do is open your eyes, move around, etc. any outside stimulus will curb your trip. At least that's my experience, someone correct me if I'm wrong. I just don't see how it could possibly become frightening.
Re: DMT
you're right, but the brew is caapi vine + dmt containing plants, and the caapi vine is referred to as ayahuasca too.parson wrote:ayahuasca is a brew containing extracts from two plants
Re: DMT
dmt breaks down quickly in your body due to monamine oxidases. ayahuasca includes monamine oxidase inhibitors (maoi) which allows the dmt to be absorbed in your stomach lining and stick around longer. people in north america mix their shit with harmaline to make it last longer.
Re: DMT
yeah i remember reading about that. also remember something about having to be careful about eating cheese after taking an MAOI.parson wrote:dmt breaks down quickly in your body due to monamine oxidases. ayahuasca includes monamine oxidase inhibitors (maoi) which allows the dmt to be absorbed in your stomach lining and stick around longer. people in north america mix their shit with harmaline to make it last longer.

Re: DMT
Got a friend extracting this at the moment.
I've smoked 5-meo-dmt and that was pretty fantastic, despite being more "intense" than anything else I've ever done it was much more bearable. No feelings of dread or panic like you get off some of the more lairy psychedelics. Like, I find some of them synthetic cannabinoids waaaaay more uncomfortable than 5-meo. It was even more manageable than when taking it orally. Be interesting to try actual DMT though.

Re: DMT
Is it more intense than x40 salvia smoked in a bong or doing so much acid it feels like your mind's melting and you can no longer communicate with the outside world or even manage your internal phenomena?

Re: DMT
Been meaning to do it for months but I refuse to do it by myself.
Hate bringing up my bpd again, but anyone know any resources of DMT on the bipolar mind? From what I've heard, much like psychedelic cactii, long term effects are actually positive in users compared to non-user. But dunno how that relates to a mental illness like that.

I wouldn't know. But people say that.... drugs wise, it's just in a class of its own. Not really comparable with anything else.test recordings wrote:Is it more intense than x40 salvia smoked in a bong or doing so much acid it feels like your mind's melting and you can no longer communicate with the outside world or even manage your internal phenomena?

Re: DMT
my personal favorite. no need to worry about bad trips because the whole good/bad duality that most of us live with disappears pretty quickly. definitely intense like nothing else though. the ayahuasca experience is more time consuming and a bit harder on the stomach / psyche.
Re: DMT
salvia is the devil in plant form
i smoked it once and will never smoke it again
it was really intense
but just a totally different kind of trip. Literally was like satan himself playing very visual, evil tricks with my mind for about ten minutes.

Sounds like a shitty philosophy teacher. Smoke the DMT!say_whut wrote:the tutor said "Stay away from that shit, folks."
Nah, do it outside, fuck psychedelics inside.kingGhost wrote:indoors in the safety of your own home... it can be a real life experience.
I fully recommend DMT, moreso than any other drug. Do it!
Re: DMT
Yes sort of, it was smoked too but it was smoked over long periods of time, none of this one hit bong business with these "40x", which isn't a good way to judge because one company's 40x is another company's 20x you know... plus a lot of places are putting additives into it these days, like other RCs.test recordings wrote:I read somehwere the native Americans never actually smoked it (salvia), apparently it was just made in to some kind of drink or chewed
The only times salvia did anything worthwhile for me is chewing and brewing and smoking leaves non-stop.
Genevieve, I would do a lot of research into BPD or similar with DMT. I would believe it to have positive effects, but I'm sure it can vary. So many things to consider... state of mind, what's going on in your subconscious, where you do it, etc. Like with any psychedelics really. I have read great reports on DMT as well as ibogaine helping and even curing people of mental issues but I'm sure YMMV, and those were in controlled settings. Acronym overload, oops.
