My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

My neck fucking hurts so no JKD tonight and I'm working at the most insanely slow pace on this uni work I'm trying to do. I'm in the uni library too which is shit compared to being able to sit at home and play tunes and drink tea while writing.

You'll be right, chaps... moving away from home for the first time is a properly weird one. Make the effort to meet people into the same stuff as you, you'll soon stop missing home and having the best time you've ever had.

I hear you, I believe the uni social experience is oversold something rotten. My flatmates are sound, pretty good mates with them all now but classes and such is a different story. It's good and all, but you come into this expecting it all to be booze and making friends left right and centre but that is pretty far from the truth. You meet so many people but then you never acknowledge each other on campus. Don't know what my point is :corntard:

Of course, but even the leaflets and shit for us in our rooms was all about the cheap drinks and how to deal with hangovers...

Regardless, I am here for a degree and thankfully have been performing above average so I'm all good. I just feel that there's probably a lot of teens under the impression uni will be something it's not
