And as u've now edited yr original post i'll edit mine to respond: just cos u dont value what i have to contribute doesnt mean i aint contributing

ah, what fun, editing yr post a 2nd time cos u cant construct any kind of argument.

this is the kind of major contribution yr suggesting i make is it:

that on this day

i have absolutely nothing

to say
no, not gonna piss anyone off, its true, but not really worth writing either.

when i post i at least have somethign to say. whether u like it or not

honestly dude, you came into this thread acting like a prick and now you're acting like a big baby

i'm not a fan of unoriginality either, but i am interested in how other people produce and learning about ways of making music that may be drastically different from my own...strangely enough, i wouldn't mind your post so much if it were actually commenting on music somebody's made, but in reality you haven't heard it...and have no clue what the original poster's intentions are.
Haha basically my intentions are in your last paragraph, its curiosity on how other people produce and how to make certain sounds, the more you know with producing methods the more ideas you have to your disposal.

i think a cool website would be where you post a youtube link and a timestamp or upload a sample of what sound you're trying to synth, and people can fill the req by uploading either a specific patch (br00tal) or just providing their own

or filling out a form with general info on the settings, fm/subtractive/add/wavetable etc

yea?

Haha you could ask but its unlikely you'd get many people contributing, however though, people do post there own patches they've made for VSTs.
I believe it has its own section on the website.

Fuck's sake that's like telling someone who's trying to learn to play guitar to stop copying Led Zeppellin or the Beatles when they try and learn Stairway or Blackbird.

Not alot of positive responses on this thread, can't say i'm a fan of all the hate going on around here. I basically have the same question, but i'm seeking basic knowledge on patch design vs the want to completely replicate Joker's Leads.

If anyone here knows the lead Joker uses in his tune 'City Hopper' that's the sort of sound i'm curious about. Sounds like a mixture of square and saw waves, slightly detuned and phased. Possibly with a high pass filter, reverb, and some chorus. Again not looking for complete replication, i can obviously see the subject is frowned upon here. Intrested in the generic version of the sound. Just a really wide and clean lead.
