Bet my assistant £20 that she can't get from one side of the office to the other without touching the floor.

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

She's currently trying to propel herself using her chair. It's taking slightly longer than she anticipated.

Not as easy as it should be. We're in a carpetted open plan divided into sub blocks of four desks. So she has to weave in and out, theres a fair distance between the blocks so she risks being caught in no mans land if she doesn't push off hard enough from one to another.

Once dared a mate to do that in a double length tube carriage coming back from a clubnight... he wasn't allowed to put his feet on the seats either, that would've been considered disrespectful and hence unsporting.

These sorts of challenges always remind me of this Monty Python sketch:

Meus equus tuo altior est

"Let me eat when I'm hungry, let me drink when I'm dry.
Give me dollars when I'm hard up, religion when I die."

My boss's boss (somewhat do-not-mess, east end type known as "the rottweiler" around the office) is incredibly hungover after we were all at someone's leaving do yesterday and we're spending the day mercilessly winding him up... he's going to explode soon. 8)

The fact that SNH are 70-odd pages happier than they are pissed off is a constant source of satisfaction. Keep the smiles going, Ninjas. :w:

I left it a couple of days between speaking to too-good-for-me girl and she's just texted to say she's missing me; sorted out dinner for Sunday. Still have a slight nagging feeling that she'll see through me eventually, but this is making me ridiculously happy at the moment.

She's smart, pretty and writes/podcasts for one of my favourite magazines (found this out after meeting her... turned out she was on my iPod without me knowing it was her :o )... I'm just a bit fanboy'd out by the whole thing and desperately trying not to let on at this stage, so I'm blurting nervous crap out onto the Internet.
