It touches on stuff Ive spoke with friends about before like how bizarre traditional clubbing seems now.
Like its one big catwalk, everyones dressed up in the newest brands, shirts, smartshoes etc. Nobody seems to be out to dance or have fun its to look cool and sexy and get with women/guys and the music is just a very backdrop or afterthought, not to mention the "lets get wasted and make a prat of myself/have a fight" mentality alot of people in my area seem to have!

Nice link on the spiritual side of things though Jacey, you might want to look in to more anthropological material about shamanic practices in traditional cultures as they're of a similar vein.

Also, Durkheim was WRONG when he said all religions have churches as pagans often make no place of worship proper and conduct rituals outdoors so as to be amongst the natural world rather than separated from it behind walls and roofs.

There is also a lot of ecopsychology research to suggest that humans feel a lot more comfortable and healthy outdoors, going to outdoor events like raves is therefore a pretty healthy sociable activity!

Paganism can be generally pantheistic (not always as paganism is an umbrella term for a variety of different classifications that generally means 'not belonging to Abrahamic religion'), i.e. the universe is what is worshipped/respected. They don't 'use' the world so much as move with its natural rhythms and flowing energy... Check out the Uk Pagan Federation for some easy material: http://www.paganfed.org/

Ecopsychology-wise... check out Theodore Roszak for a good primer (he coined the word at least) though there's now getting to be a sizable amount of research in to it so you can search for "ecopsychology" research explicitly rather than 'psychology+ecology' etc (though you can still find some things that could be classed as such that isn't overtly marked as ecopsychology).
