Of course not mate, I'm sure there will be loads of Skrillex and/or Korn fans frothing at the mouth to hear this stuff. There just aren't too many people around here that openly share that enthusiasm however. :W:

'Fusing styles' in 2011 isn't even original anymore. Music styles are like porn, if they exist, they'll be combined.

are you refering to the music or jonathan davis' complete ignorance of edm?

this. you'll struggle to pair any two genres that haven't been done together in the past.

Korn are in the kitchen and their recipe is for failure

Track's ok, but the intro just.. Sucks.. The original Psychosocial is just like, 100x better though to be fair.

Not at all, there are a lot of people looking forward to it. Although on this forum in order to keep your Dubstep 'credibility' there are certain hating trends (Skrillex etc) you need to follow. It's the whole teenage 'genre purist' mentality. :D

Shame really, as this forum has a small (for now) reputation of being stuck in the past and not evolving with the scene.

if you don't really know the evolution of dubstep, don't come on here and make simplistic generalizations about it. do some research into things. there's absolutely nothing wrong with people experimenting, and trying new avenues. the problem with this Korn thing, is that its coming with a PR'ed plastic wrap and red ribbon around it. Its like Rod Stewart making a christmas album, because christmas is coming and he needs to pay for the new summer house. korn love sub bass, and its been a part of their sound from early days. i look forward to hearing this stuff, but its sort of depressing that they had to come up with some marketing strategy around it. let the music do the talking, rather than the marketing.

if you've followed this sound, you'll known that abrasive elements have been there from about 2003 on, so this is not some new banana sundae being dropped on the world.

what the fuck are you on about?
i dislike it because from the track i've heard, it's just stupid angsty lyrics and tacky yoyburp synthesis, alot of people dislike it for similar reasons, not because of herd mentality.
nothing to do with genre purism whatsoever.

Its not like anyone's ever combined metal with dubstep before right?

Korn are just trying to stay relevant by using whatever music is the flavour of the month, its just a cash grab.
