Monitors Crackle With Multiple Tabs Open..
I have a macbook pro + focusrite saffire pro14 + KRK Rokit 5's and when I have more than two tabs open my monitors crackle noticeably when playing music..Does anyone have any idea if this can be fixed? Or is it just something I have to deal with? I'm worried about my speakers being damaged.
Thanks,

Thanks,

This would happen on my Vaio laptop when my CPU usage would spike. Never had it happen on my iMac. Possibly a sound card issue?
Re: Monitors Crackle With Multiple Tabs Open..
Can't comment on Mac's as I don't really know enough about them to make a well informed suggestion but on windows machines that happens because of your soundcard or the CPU is peaking. I find (when using FL studio) that if I go to audio settings and change from "Primary Sound Driver" to ASIO4ALL it completely rectifies the problem.
Abstrakt.

Re: Monitors Crackle With Multiple Tabs Open..
Your question is a bit vague.
Do you mean tabs in your browser?
This basically means your computer is struggling. Usually the CPU is not fast enough or you do not have enough RAM.
You should probably just raise the buffer rate for your device. I'm on PC so I have no idea how to do it on a MAC.

Re: Monitors Crackle With Multiple Tabs Open..
By tabs I mean browser (google chrome) tabs. I can have multiple tabs open and a full ableton set w/ the cpu meter sitting fine around 40% w/o crackles, then I'll close ableton, open up a window or two more and it begins. Ill try raising the buffer rate, how will this influence the sound cards performance?
