isotpoe ozone multiband dynamics/compression

Post by jyro » Tue Nov 22, 2011 3:44 pm

Been really getting into using this on my mixdowns. Few random questions if anyone could help out.

do people use a second compressor in their mixdown effects chain along with ozone?
anyone got any favorite presets for dubstep/bass heavy music? wondering as i'd like to use these as a reference when designing my own.

Safe.

i've done this before, and was told that the lowend was overly compressed. it's a bit overkill looking back. a secondary compressor would probably squash some of the dynamics

i jsut use ozone alone... i use multiband dynamics to gently raise the db of the track without effectively really alterting the dynamics to much (similiar to the Eprom method floating around glitchhop forums). THen ill use the Loudness maximizer, and ill play with that to get alittle more out of my track during my "master" process.

in a CM interview Soony Moore said something like, "i just throw an Ozone 4 Loudness maximizer on my mixdown for my mastering process".
