My album 'Life is Stellar' is on there too, its all orchestral/ambient shizz I did for my friends sundance entry this year.
Im not sure I ever had a box to get out of, but thats some of my music.
If you click the Cosmology banner in my sig, I make an effort to support ANYONE I hear who really steps outside the proverbial box, I see a few Cosmo artists in this thread which is nice, but stop by, you'd be surprised how many dsf heads youll find if you snoop.

Re: Scared to step outside the box?
i think it comes down to something along the lines of a "money or personal creative satisfaction?" dichotomy. the creative satisfaction side of things is a gamble with one's own pride and honor at stake. i would use Tom Waits as an example of success in the latter category. his style is in a class of it's own, but nevertheless, he still manages to poke his head out into the mainstream consciousness, which in itself implies a successful career.
on the other hand, there are the tried and true methods that can be emulated, now with more ease than ever due to the internet, just by hovering over message boards and Youtube, observing the trends that surface over a modest period of time. once you have a bearing on the ebb and flow of things, you can ride the tide of the next wave of popularity -- dependent of course, on your motivation. i'm not trying to be poetic, but isn't it a little bit ironic, in this case, that "Skrillex" was Sonny Moore's handle in message board forums before he started doing collaborations with The Doors? I mean, you don't have to go to Berkeley school of music anymore to be a masterclass producer. (though it couldn't hurt)
so what does it mean to you personally? for me, I'm not scared as i've seen it stated in this thread, to gamble all of my creativity and subsequently all the personal investments i've put into my projects on success. because i haven't been good at anything other than creative projects. my heart is invested in them. so i just don't care. i'll do what i do just for fun, even if i'm dirt broke, and be fine.
if you step "outside the box", as it is understood in this thread, then i respect you! if it provides a different experience then the typical cack that might be put into the "money" or "for-profit" category, i will 100% appreciate it. just my two cents.

This is a track I made recently. It was inspired my some witchhouse tracks I've been hearing recently, but doesnt sound like the usual witchhouse I've been introduced to.
