Yea, was fucking grim, got dropped off in a taxi at the top of my road on the high street, and was talking to the geezer, as he was just sitting in a shop doorway with a few bags. his wife had just kicked him out and he was trying to get back to the Wirrel (sp?) where he was from.

He asked me for a cigarette but i didnt have any, said my goodbyes, advised him on the warmest place in the town to cotch up until he could get a train.

Got home and realised i had 2 emergency snouts in my drawer, so did the decent thing and walked back into the town to go and find him.
Got to the top of the road and he was there on there floor, stone cold, completely unresponsive and (i couldnt tell very well as i was pissed) wasnt breathing/didnt have a pulse that i could find.

literally ran for my life (well, for his) to a phonebox which didnt work, so had to run to the next one to ring an ambulance. which turned up just as i got back to him (VERY quick!)

it didnt look good.
Paramedics told me id done well and to go home basically, didnt find out if he was alright.
