I'd say Tony Montana from the Scarface performed by Al Pacino. As for me it's a genius and absolutely truthful character.

When seeing the thread title he was my immediate thought.

The only competitor could be Larry David but he's not a character, so Dwight wins

Theres no subtlety to the US office and the main guy is just too ridiculous to be funny, just like his characters in all his films. Got bored of the uk one years ago but was jokes when it first appeared

To me the Office US just seems like another alright comedy programme that they're gonna absolutely whore out to as many hundreds of episodes possible until everyones sick of it and it gets cancelled. Steve Carrell is just too over the top, the thing about the Office was that it seemed so real.

The Office UK, 12 episodes, all absolute GOLD, the US version just doesn't have the toecurling cringey moments that the UK version done perfectly:

The UK Office is up there with the best things ever put on screen... it's just a shame that Brent's character ended up being so close to Ricky Gervais that all his subsequent work has suffered from diminishing returns so badly.

US Office is good... great at times... but the UK one borders on perfect. If someone gave me the task of editing the series, I'd struggle to cut a single scene... maybe Brent's dance, but even that wasn't so far off things I've seen happen in workplaces.

The problem with the US one is that it strays too far from what would actually go down in an office too often... Parkour into dumpsters? Big dance routines? The Nard-Dog generally? It's more a standard sit-com than a proper mockumentary... too many caricatures. Entertaining though.

The best character is Creed... they use him sparingly enough so that he can get away with whatever he comes out with...

When I watched the UK office for the first tiem I really couldn`t tell if it was real or not.
Gervais was just too good.
