STL (Deep house/Techno/Experimental)
STL (Deep house/Techno/Experimental)
Just discovered this guy, holy fuck. All of his tunes are stellar. Anyone know anything that comes close to being similar to him?
He has so much released and it's all amazing.

Re: STL (Deep house/Techno/Experimental)
yeah this guy is great, bought a couple of his records after hearing him on a few Hessle Rinse shows earlier in the year. The closest artists i can think of with the vague sort of raw/analogue type style is anything on some of the Berlin labels such as Restoration Records, Live Jam, Appointment, Relative, etc. Have a little explore of some of that stuff, it's absolutely banging.

The recent mindbender ep is so good, been listening to stl for a few years and he always brings something a bit different to the table, one of my favourite artists.

Thats his own label. As far as somebody being "similar" to him, Bvdub, Claudio Mate, and Intrusion comes to mind. Labels to check out:soulkids wrote:yeah diggin this guy. only discovered him recently via the rinse16

Styrax, Styrax Leaves, Pong, Zeecc (probably my fav label), Modelisme, Music Man, Baum, SINO, ROHS!, Field, Echospace....hope that gets you started.

Gotta love STL. Had that "Paperboy" 12" in the DJ bag for AGES! Such a tune.
